6-5, 7-1, 7-2 social justice spreads reflection

    Throughout the project of abortion I had many troubles since it is a hard topic to bring up but I was able to make the two page spreads with the work I had done for abortion. I brought up the collages that I have created earlier and the statistics. As said I was struggling with the topic especially with the statistics since it couldn't be like the regular graphs so I had to come up with another idea in how I can show that abortion shouldn't be banned because many women use it in the united states and in many other places but my main point was the United States. I set it up based on the ages and percent and by adding a women sign that shows the difference in how many use abortion and the ages. Which clearly show how it shouldn't become illegal since a lot of women use it and women shouldn't be forced to keep a child that they are probably not ready to have financially or many have other issues that leads them to that decision, but as said abortion should be allowed, such as the roe v wade claims that abortion should be legal within the span of two months in the pregnancy but what if the women doesn't know until after then. In general that's a women right and decision to do so since it's their bodies. For the collages I had to collect photos that were based on abortion such as the protests that have occurred in which many claimed either side, it should and it shouldn't. I chose the ones that showed how distressed the people looked trying to get their point across. I added them together and changed the color of the background to make it look more eye catching and for it to be easy to read and understand what's the issue. Another photoshop work that I decided to include that really brings out how women are feeling in knowing that they're trying to ban abortion just because they think that it's murder is the one where it says "bans of our body" which is a saying that many say during the protest and a women that looks concerned and I also added two hands which represents the government tormenting women. I was having trouble in knowing how to make them blend in together in the spreads because most of them have a darker background and only two are bright but somehow they didn't go well together. in the beginning of the page I was able to add a message "Don't ban abortion" in red so it could stand out but in the rest I wanted to add some messages but they all are easy to understand and give out the message clearly, and I felt like if I did then too much was going on since in all of them it had words thrown in which is why I didn't like how it looked if I did so I just added it in the first spread. However It does bring concern over the issue of banning abortion.
